OHL has been awarded a new photovoltaic project valued at 70 million euro in Chile. The contract includes the construction of the photovoltaic plant “La Huella” which will have an installed power of 89 megawatts (MW) and will serve the region of Coquimbo, in the north of the country.
The contract was awarded by Clean Capital Energy, a photovoltaic investment company based in Austria, which operates in five European countries with a total installed capacity of more than 800 MW, and with projects under development worldwide of more than 1.6 GW.
The contract covers engineering, construction, commissioning and subsequent operation and maintenance. In addition, work related to the electrical interconnection of the plant with the Transmission Grid and Chile’s National Electric System will be addressed and the long-term operation and maintenance of the plant will be carried out.
