Olivares photovoltaic plant, Jaén (50 MW).

OHLA, through its Industrial business area, has been awarded a new EPC contract for the design, construction and commissioning of a 130 MW photovoltaic plant in Badajoz (Spain), for more than 75 million euros.

Divided into 3 lots, the photovoltaic plant will have an installed capacity of 130 MW and will use bifacial module technology, single-axis tracking and central inverters.

The facility will generate more than 240,000 MWh/year of 100 percent clean energy and will supply electricity to around 70,000 homes, or approximately 150,000 people. In addition, its renewable energy generation will avoid the emission of a total of approximately 180,000 tons of CO2 per year.

This new project, which will create more than 300 jobs in rural areas, is part of OHLA’s firm commitment to combating climate change, carbon neutrality and directing its efforts towards a circular economy.
