OHLA participates in the second meeting of the Business Council for Sustainable Development promoted by Forética
OHLA participated in the second executive meeting of the Business Council for Sustainable Development, an initiative promoted by Forética under the honorary presidency of H.M. King Felipe VI, which on this occasion was attended by the Third Vice-President and Minister for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, Teresa Ribera, who opened the meeting.
The Spanish Business Council for Sustainable Development, a high-level body made up of 40 presidents and CEOs of large companies and which in the case of OHLA is represented by its CEO, José Antonio Fernández Gallar, has addressed the Vision 2050 roadmap Vision 2050. The moment of transformation. Its objective is to guide companies in the development of actions that enable them to jointly address environmental, social and governance (ESG) challenges such as climate emergency, biodiversity loss and increasing inequalities, as well as to establish partnerships with governments, businesses and society in general.
OHLA has been a member of the Business Council for Sustainable Development since its foundation, at the beginning of 2021; and a promoting partner of Forética since 2015, a benchmark organization in sustainability in Spain and Latin America, representative in our country of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). The company is also aligned with other national and international initiatives such as the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda and participates in and develops initiatives aimed at combating climate change, incorporating methodologies that favor energy efficiency, circular economy and a commitment to innovation.
