OHL continues to expand its portfolio in the Czech Republic, participating in two new projects for an award amount of around €115 million. The largest project, with over €102.2 million and awarded by the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration, will be developed in a joint venture in the Moravian-Silesian region and includes several works in a section of the railway line between the station of Dětmarovice-Petrovice and the border with Poland.
The initiative includes the redevelopment of the railway substructure and the reconstruction of its superstructure: platforms, bridge structures and drainage. It will also introduce elements that will improve safety, communication and electrical equipment. The work also includes the reconstruction of traction lines and tracks, transmission, modification and connections of electrical lines and lighting.
The second of the projects in which the company will participate includes the construction of the new test and industrial track workshop, Test Room Skoda Transportation: three buildings for the production of electrical energy (power plant), storage and testing of rolling stock. Škoda Transportation has granted this initiative, whose budget exceeds €12.3 million.
