“I am lucky to have entered OHL very young and so I consider it my home and my school, here I have had and still have mentors who guide me to do what I do best and be the professional and woman I am today”
andrea ximena vásquez gaitán
Documentary analyst and project engineer for OHL in Colombia
Date, place, department and position in which you began your work at OHL and the current one, if different.
I started my work at OHL on October 20, 2014 in Bogotá (Colombia) as a project engineer. I am currently working as a documentary analyst in the Business Development department.Could you summarize your career in the company in a few lines?
My career at OHL has been wonderful and in constant ascent. I began by setting up tenders and today I work by analyzing them not only from a documentary perspective but also from a contractual one, with the analysis of the contract and the risks of each project. What are the responsibilities of your position?
Reviewing the bids we aspire to submit, whether public or private, as well as analyzing their contractual, financial and experience requirements. What is the most rewarding thing about the work you do?
When we are awarded the bids we submit. In each award you can see the work of the whole team and it is wonderful to see how the company grows in Colombia with the contribution of all of us who are part of it.Any advice for anyone wishing to develop a job like yours?
I think that the success of my work lies in being very, very meticulous with everything I do, which basically consists of reviewing and re-reading everything more than once. That and being patient.Do you have a professional dream that you have not yet fulfilled and that you would like to share with the rest of the OHL team?
My dream is to be part of the company as much as I can to continue learning and contributing. I am fortunate to have entered at a very young age and that is why I consider it my home and my school, not only because of all I have learned but because here I have had and still have mentors who guide me to do what I do best and to be the professional and woman I am today. You may be interested in
